Karlex is an Haitian American singer, who fuses with soulful ness the vibes of his native island, with funky guitar sounds, heavy bass in a unique blend called : AFRO GROOVE. After he moved in his teens to New York city, he played with different rock bands. In the 90's he returned to Haiti, where the ambient mysticism, the people's sufferings, the country's history past and present brought a radical change in the sounds and the inspiration. " I was reborn, the calling of the drums in the night filled me with a longing to get back to the true essence of liberty and freedom that my ancestors fought for, and nothing translated that better for me than a certain sound reminiscent of the 60's and 70's fused with actual urban music and Haitian soul" 2 years ago, he moved to the south of France, where he started working on his new LP, entitled : GHETTO FABULOUS
